About the Role
As a senior mechanical engineer, you will lead and deliver high-quality building services projects while fostering strong team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead mechanical services design (HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling)
· Manage projects from concept to completion
· Provide technical leadership and mentoring
· Prepare clear and accurate engineering documentation
· Collaborate with internal teams, clients and external stakeholders
· Support proposals, fee estimates and project planning
· Undertake site investigations, tender analysis and contract administration
· Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, NCC and sustainable design frameworks (Green Star, NABERS)
· Apply risk management principles including OH&S;
About You
We're seeking a motivated, detail-oriented team member who is eager to make an impact. The ideal candidate will have:
· Australian work rights are required for this position
· A degree in Mechanical Engineering
· CPEng (or progress towards)
· Eligibility for National Engineering Register (NER)
· Registration as a Building Services Provider in Tasmania (or ability to obtain)
· 5+ years' experience in building services engineering
· Strong capability in HVAC and mechanical services design
· Proven project leadership and a proactive approach
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills
· Commitment to continuous improvement
· Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and ACADS BSG suite
· Knowledge of Australian Standards and NCC
· Understanding of sustainable design requirements (Green Star, NABERS)
