Community Engagement & Fundraising Specialist - Growth & Impact (Rockhampton)

What You'll Be Doing
* Fundraising Development – Drive and deliver innovative fundraising strategies aligned with our mission. Identify exciting regional opportunities to grow support and make a tangible impact.
* Donor Cultivation & Stewardship – Build genuine, lasting relationships with individuals, schools, community groups, sporting clubs, businesses, volunteers and professional networks. Lead engaging conversations, develop proposals, and secure both one‐off and ongoing support.
* Community Engagement – Be out and about in the community connecting with people, sparking conversations, and inspiring support through meaningful engagement and events.
* Fundraising Data Management – Track your impact! Maintain accurate records, monitor campaign performance, and use insights to continuously improve outcomes.
* Public Relations & Communications – Act as a passionate ambassador, promoting our mission through social media, community channels, and local media opportunities.
* Team Collaboration & Leadership – Work alongside a supportive, statewide team that values collaboration, inclusiveness, and shared success. Lead and inspire volunteers while contributing to a positive, high‐energy team culture.
Work Environment

This permanent full‐time role requires frequent travel within the region to meet with potential donors, attend events, and engage with key community partners. In return, we offer flexible working arrangements for the right candidate to help you balance your professional and personal life. A flexible work schedule, including the ability to work from home and office location is available depending on the needs of the role. This role includes access to a company car for travel, laptop, mobile phone and NFP salary packing boosting your take‐home salary.

You Bring
* Qualifications in Nonprofit Management, Fundraising, Business, or a related field. Certification in fundraising (e.g., CIPF) will be highly regarded.
* Experience in fundraising, development, or nonprofit management is preferred, though other relevant experience will also be considered.
* Proven success in securing donations, sponsorships, and funding for nonprofit organizations.
* Experience planning and executing successful fundraising events.
* Ability to build and maintain a robust network of donors and supporters, with a strong track record of donor stewardship and relationship building desirable.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organizational abilities.
* High level of creativity and ability to think outside the box to support fundraising strategies.
* Proficiency in fundraising software and Microsoft Office Suite and/or ability to pick up new systems quickly.
* Current driver's license.
