About the role
You'll not only manage the upkeep of beautiful gardens, ground and facilities, you will also build genuine connections with homeowners and contribute to a positive, welcoming atmosphere. You'll be part of a wider network of caretakers across our Stockland Halcyon communities, sharing knowledge and support.
* Permanent full time, Monday to Friday, 7am – 3pm
* Maintain and enhance gardens, ground and recreational facilities, ensuring they are looking their best
* Conduct routine and scheduled maintenance
* Oversee contractors and ensure compliance with safety
* Building relationships with homeowners and other staff members
* Actively participate in caretaker meetings and complete relevant reporting
* Manage community security and operational budgets
About you
Proactive and personable, you take pride in creating a welcoming and well-maintained environment and you'll bring :
* Proven experience in managing large, scaled gardens and grounds as well as experience in general maintenance and amenity cleaning
* Background in caretaking or maintenance within lifestyle communities, retirement living, schools, or hotels / resorts
* Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in engaging with people
* Experience in team supervision and contractor coordination
* Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
* ACDC licence for weed spraying (or willingness to obtain)
* Basic computer proficiency and current First Aid certificate (refresher available)
* Full driver's licence and own transport to / from work (work ute provided during work hours)
