Italian‐Speaking Companion (Ryde) - Community Volunteer North Sydney
We're looking for a kind‐hearted volunteer who speaks Italian to share meaningful time with a lovely older woman living in Ryde.
Our client is a 90‐year‐old woman who lives at home with her husband. She experiences short‐term memory loss and has limited mobility, so visits are all about relaxed, unhurried time together in the comfort of her home.
There's no pressure for outings — just companionship, conversation, and connection. She would truly love the company of someone who can speak Italian with her, helping her reconnect with familiar language, culture, and memories. Visits may also include exchanging stories, listening to Italian music, and spending time with her husband sometimes.
* Patient, friendly, and comfortable spending time with older adults.
* Weekly or fortnightly visits welcome.
* Fluent Italian or conversational skills.

Requirements
* 18 years or older.
* National Volunteer Police Check arranged & paid for by HammondCare.
* One‐hour visits for six months or longer. Suitable time preferred on a weekday between 9 am and before 5 pm.
