Being a Support Worker is an opportunity to change someone's life. Supporting people to live safely, build independence, and maintain routine and connection.
In this role, you will support participants in a SIL environment with complex care needs to go about their daily lives with consistency, dignity and support. You will work as part of a team to provide person-centred care that helps participants feel secure, supported, and engaged in their home and community.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting participants with activities of daily living, including personal care, hygiene and mealtime assistance
* Providing high-quality, consistent support in line with individual care plans and behaviour support strategies
* Assisting with mobility and manual handling, including the use of hoists and other equipment where required
* Supporting participants with complex care needs, including PEG feeding, medication assistance and other high-intensity supports (where trained)
* Maintaining accurate and detailed progress notes, incident reports and documentation
* Supporting participants to engage in meaningful activities at home and in the community
* Building positive, respectful relationships with participants, families and the wider care team
About You
* A valid P2 or Open driver's licence and reliable vehicle
* NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check
* Experience in complex care or high-intensity support work
* Strong communication and documentation skills
* Professionalism, reliability, patience and resilience when supporting participants with complex needs
* Availability for a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons and sleepovers
