A well-established business based in Rosebery is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a small, hands‐on finance team. This is a broad role with real scope, sitting close to the business and contributing across both BAU and project work.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO you will take ownership of core accounting responsibilities while also supporting a period of finance clean‐up and process improvement.
Day‐to‐day, this includes:
* Full management accounts preparation
* Month end close, journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
* Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger
* Supporting the clean‐up of historical accounting and improving existing processes and controls
* Assisting with statutory reporting and audit preparation as required
* Ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions
About You
You are CA or CPA qualified with solid experience in a similar senior accounting role. You are comfortable working independently, picking up complexity quickly, and getting things done without a lot of hand‐holding. Experience in a hands‐on environment where you have had to roll up your sleeves on clean‐up or improvement work will be well regarded.
