Port Macquarie GPs are looking to employ a Full Time GP Registrar.
Your Role
To undertake structured, supervised clinical training in a General Practice consistent with RACGP general practice training program and curriculum, developing competencies required for progression to GPT2/3 and eventual Fellowship.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide safe, patient centred general practice care under supervision across a broad range of presentations, patient demographics and settings.
* Undertake comprehensive consultations including history taking, examination, diagnosis, management and follow-up.
* Develop and document management plans, prescribe appropriately within scope and maintain accurate medical records.
* Participate in continuity of care as required by the practice.
* Engage in the RACGP curriculum learning outcomes and complete workplace-based assessments, formative feedback, mini-CEX and in-practice audits.
* Attend and actively participate in scheduled teaching, practice meetings, tutorials and learning time.
* Maintain professional conduct, comply with legal, ethical and regulatory obligations (MBA, privacy, consent and Medicare billing).
* Contribute to QI and practice-based activities.
* Maintain timely communication with supervisors, practice staff and management regarding learning needs and patient care issues.
Selection Criteria
* Medical Degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) and eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (General or Provisional)
* Enrolled in or eligible for an RACGP-accredited General Practice Training Program via an approved RTO.
* Demonstrated commitment to primary care and general practice as a career.
* Clinical Skills in assessment and management of common presentations; willingness to learn and accept supervision.
* Effective communication, teamwork and cultural sensitivity (Including ATSI awareness).
* Basic competence in electronic medical records and clinical software (BP used).
* Current AHPRA Registration, WWCC, National Police Check, Professional Indemnity, and evidence of required immunisations (Covid-19, influenza, hepatitis B, varicella, as per practice/RTO Policy).
