Senior Telecoms Engineer Job Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Telecoms Engineer to join our team.
* You will be responsible for designing and implementing communications projects that incorporate radio sites, IP nodes, solutions for voice and data communications, fibre optic and copper-based transmission systems, power supply systems, and related ancillary systems.
The ideal candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop detailed design documentation for various projects.
* Perform hands-on work including equipment configuration & integration on multiple routing and switching equipment.
* Participate in factory and site testing and commissioning activities.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
* Troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
This position requires a CCNP/JNCIS/JNCIP qualified Network Engineer with minimum 10+ years' experience and an engineering degree enabling full membership to Engineers Australia.
The successful candidate should have extensive experience in Cisco routing and switching technologies, strong understanding of the following technologies: IP/MPLS, BGP4 and OSPF, strong project experience with an ability to manage priorities and multitask, demonstrated experience in engineering report writing, and experience working on Rail sector.
Requirements:
* CCNP/JNCIS/JNCIP qualification.
* 10+ years' experience as a Network Engineer.
* Degree in Engineering.
* Engineers Australia membership.
* Experience in Cisco routing and switching technologies.
* Understanding of IP/MPLS, BGP4 and OSPF technologies.
* Project management skills.
* Report writing skills.
* Rail sector experience.
