Position Overview
ANC is seeking expressions of interest from motivated and experienced Transport Allocators to support our growing operations across Notting Hill, VIC and Bella Vista, NSW.
This is a hands‐on operational role where you will play a critical part in supporting and enabling our Delivery Professionals (drivers) by optimally allocating transport resources, planning routes using transport systems, and ensuring the successful delivery of our customer promise.
This position requires flexibility, as it includes working in a rotating roster with weekend shifts. As a key member of our team, you'll help us fulfil our promise of delivering excellent outcomes for both our clients and their customers.
What You'll Be Doing
* Manage the daily schedule of deliveries, vehicle requirements, and route planning using transport systems according to volume and operational needs.
* Work closely with cross‐functional teams to ensure the smooth execution of daily delivery operations.
* Handle operational issues on the day of delivery, ensuring timely resolution of any disruptions or challenges.
* Support the customer experience by ensuring that deliveries meet or exceed expectations.
* Ensure that all allocations adhere to the principles of the Chain of Responsibility (COR) and safety standards.
* Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the customer experience.
* Maintain accurate records of delivery schedules and any relevant operational metrics.
What We're Looking For
* 3+ years of industry experience in transport or logistics, with strong familiarity with Transport Management Systems (TMS) (Preferred).
* A proactive, solutions‐focused approach with a strong commitment to service excellence.
* Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities effectively.
* Ability to resolve issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and customer satisfaction.
* Understanding of local and interstate capital city logistics (advantageous).
