Safety & Compliance Manager – Newcastle
Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will be responsible for ensuring the goals and objectives of Lycopodium Infrastructure are in alignment with Lycopodium's certification, legislation, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and maintain Lycopodium's Safety and Compliance performance across all sites.
* Maintain, in conjunction with our management team, the Health and Safety culture across the Company.
* Provide specialist advice and support to project HSE teams as required.
* Provide rail safety consulting services to clients.
* Maintain and confirm the S&C Management Systems and Parent Company requirements in alignment with relevant ISO and AS certification, legislation and Client requirements.
* Plan, manage and coordinate relevant audits and inspections of systems and processes to maintain relevant certification and authorisation.
* Clearly communicate S&C information, issues and initiatives to all parties associated with Projects on a timely basis.
* Ensure compliance with all statutory and authority requirements to enable Lycopodium to work in other chosen industries without restrictions.
* Assist in the preparation of S&C related components of tenders and proposals, including the assessment of Contractor Management Systems and performance.
* Prepare Project S&C Plans incorporating Client requirements, statutory requirements and ongoing corporate learnings and improvements.
Required Experience and Skills
* Minimum 15 years' experience in various aspects of Safety and Compliance Management in related industries.
* High attention to detail and exceptional knowledge of Safety & Compliance systems and management.
* Demonstrated ability to achieve consistently high standards within both budgetary and schedule constraints.
* Capacity to evaluate work practices, implement systems and suggest alternatives and refinements where necessary.
* Intuitive leader with the ability to initiate, lead and manage change in a complex environment.
