Manufacturing Operations Project Officer
Job Description:
This is a challenging role that involves leading technically complex projects and providing high-level advice on complex technical issues in manufacturing, machining, fabrication, assembly, testing prototype and re-design products.
The Manufacturing Operations and Project Officer will support the Contract in delivering Advanced Manufacturing (AdvM) projects, Engineering Change Proposals and Innovations for Joint Land Vehicle Variant (JLU(V)).
Responsibilities:
* Lead technically complex projects from concept to completion
* Provide high-level advice on complex technical issues in manufacturing, machining, fabrication, assembly, testing prototype and re-design products
* Support the Contract in delivering AdvM projects, Engineering Change Proposals and Innovations for JLU(V)
* Manage maintenance data on workshop machinery for scheduling preventative maintenance
* Manage procurement and material certification
* Manage quoting and variations
Requirements:
* Preferred to hold an Australian Qualification Framework Certificate III in either mechanical engineering/maintenance/fitter machinist or electronic technician
* Experience in Planning/scheduling, in a fabrication/maintenance environment is desirable
* Effective written and oral communication skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Australian Citizenship and ability to complete medical and Federal Police check as per contractual requirements and eligible to attain and maintain NV1 security clearance
