Taste of North India is a busy Indian restaurant serving delicious, wholesome food that has been passed down through generations.
We are currently seeking a full-time Chef for our busy restaurant located in Coffs Harbour.
Your duties will include:
* Develop and improve menus Order food supplies and estimate costs Ensure the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation Bring forward any issues relating to food and the kitchen with management and relevant staff Monitor the preparation and presentation of dishes Work with the management and set daily and weekly production levels for the kitchen Maintain stock levels based on restaurant's needs and carry out ordering Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures Preparing and cooking food to a high standard Implement and ensure compliance with food hygiene standards and health and safety requirements Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients Supervision and train kitchen staff Bulk cooking Day to day kitchen operations Implementing multiple cooking procedures

Requirements of position:
* Minimum of a relevant Diploma and at least 1 year of work experience or three years of experience may substitute for formal qualification- Strong communication skills- Experience training Staff- A real passion for preparing and cooking food
