The Role
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, your day-to-day duties will include:
* Support the Defence Fuel Network across Australia, ensuring operational excellence and reliability.
* Carry out before-use inspections of refuelling vehicles, equipment, and documentation to ensure operational readiness.
* Conduct daily fuel quality checks in line with safe work procedures (SWPs) to ensure fuel is free from water and contaminants.
* Safely approach and refuel Australian and international military aircraft, establishing exclusion zones, bonding equipment, and observing all aviation safety requirements.
* Complete all post-refuelling documentation, including meter readings and customer sign-off, and report hazards or incidents promptly.
What You Need
Attributes you will bring include self-starting and team-oriented capabilities, along with dedication to the vital role we perform in supporting the Defence Force to deliver high-quality outcomes for UGL.
* Safety is at the forefront of everything we do at UGL and should be at the forefront of your work as well.
* A valid HC Driver's Licence and Dangerous Goods Handling Licence are essential.
* Experience in the fuel service and/or defence industry is highly regarded.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work in a diverse team.
* Current holder, or ability to obtain, relevant security clearances.
