Job Title: Program Manager
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to manage our housing capital works programs in remote, regional and urban locations across the Northern Territory. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level strategic and operational advice on the effective planning, delivery and management of projects, teams and contracts to ensure the delivery of housing related Capital and Minor New Works programs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project and contract management and construction practices for capital works programs.
* High level knowledge of contemporary trends, challenges and directions in the delivery of complex Capital and MNW programmes; building codes and standards with the ability to interpret and critically review technical drawings.
* Demonstrated high degree of autonomy, self-motivation, initiative, organisational and time management skills with the ability to work in a complex program delivery environment, maintain focus and confidentiality, and identify critical issues and risks.
* Proven experience in strategic procurement and effective contract management relevant to construction industry including the ability to manage sensitive negotiations.
* A high level of collaborative skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and engage effectively across cultures.
* Well-developed written and oral communication skills with proven ability to preparing quality documentation/reports driving a culture of accountability.
* A current NT driver's licence or equivalent, and physical ability to drive 4x4 vehicles for long distances, travel by various means including by light aircraft, and preparedness to work for short periods in remote communities.
