The People & Culture team at our Sydney location is a dynamic group of professionals dedicated to fostering a positive workplace culture. Comprising five full-time employees, the team works across various aspects of Human Resources, including Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Legal & Industrial Relations, Learning & Development, and Work Health & Safety.
As a People & Culture Intern, you will gain firsthand experience in HR operations while working closely with all team members. Your daily activities will be overseen by the People & Culture Executive, ensuring structured guidance and professional development throughout your internship.
Key Responsibilities:
Alongside contributing to HR-related projects, your role will involve:
* Managing internal and external telephone communications
* Welcoming candidates and employees visiting the People & Culture office
* Assisting new employees with their first-day induction process
* Organising and maintaining electronic employee files
* Entering and updating data in the Human Resources Information System (Workday)
* Assisting in the coordination of employee engagement and relations events
* Preparing and updating internal digital communications displayed throughout the hotel
* Conducting reference checks and supporting the candidate screening process
* Assisting in the preparation of training materials for development programs
