About The Opportunity

Western's School of Social Sciences are seeking 2 Support Services Stage Coordinators. These are full-time ongoing roles and are based at our Goulburn campus and is delivered in partnership with the NSW Police Academy.

This full-time, ongoing role offers an exciting opportunity and will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality customer service and operational support to Western Sydney University students at the NSW Police Academy. These positions coordinate the delivery of the Associate Degree in Applied Policing—a hybrid program co-delivered by Western Sydney University and the NSW Police Force Constable Education Program. The Coordinators will lead the student support services team, ensuring seamless and personalised assistance across multiple service channels including face-to-face, phone, email, virtual, and self-service. In addition to managing daily operations, the role involves coordinating teaching resources, liaising with NSW Police Force, overseeing assessment logistics such as exam supervision, and supporting staff and services as needed. Collaboration with internal University units and NSW Police Force is essential to ensure smooth transitions that align with both institutional policies and policing requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

* Coordinate the staged implementation of the Associate Degree in Applied Policing in partnership with the NSW Police Force, Head of Program and Business Development Manager, ensuring alignment with business needs and timelines.
* Lead and manage the daily operations of Student Services Officers and casual staff, including rostering, supervision, performance management, and professional development. Foster a positive team culture and ensure consistent, high-quality training and support.
* Work closely with internal University units and the NSW Police Force to ensure smooth transitions and compliance with relevant policies and practices. Build and maintain strong professional relationships and apply effective communication strategies to manage stakeholder expectations.
* Oversee daily operational activities to ensure service delivery meets institutional standards. Provide administrative support across areas such as assessments, exam supervision, and logistics as required.
* Contribute to the development and review of policies and procedures impacting student services. Offer insights into operational needs, support the adoption of new technologies, and assist Student Services Officers in enhancing service delivery through continuous improvement initiatives.
* Escalate concerns appropriately and ensure timely communication with key stakeholders.

Location

This position is based at the NSW Police Academy in Goulburn, however travel to other campuses of Western Sydney University may be required.

About You

You are a proactive and experienced professional with a relevant qualification or equivalent experience in supervising staff within a dynamic, multi-channel customer service environment. Your leadership style is collaborative and effective, enabling you to manage, coordinate, and support administrative teams while balancing operational priorities and allocating workloads efficiently. You bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures confidently. Your digital fluency includes proficiency in a range of software applications and communication platforms. With a proven ability to build and maintain productive stakeholder relationships, you are highly organised and adept at managing competing demands. Your strong written communication skills support your ability to prepare clear documentation and correspondence, and you thrive in a team environment where flexibility and adaptability are key.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 7 $124,203 to $133,967 p.a. (comprising Salary of $104,953 to $113,204 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)

Pre-Employment Requirements

The successful applicant will be required to:

· Complete and obtain approval via the NSW Police Force Professional Suitability Application Form, and

· Obtain and maintain a Baseline National Security Clearance, as required by the NSW Police Academy.

These are mandatory conditions to be considered for this role, as required by the NSW Police Force.
