Staff Specialist (Gastroenterology) – Overview
The role of the Staff Specialist (Gastroenterology) is to provide high‐quality clinical and non‐clinical services, including teaching within a robust Basic Physician Training (BPT) environment and medical student education, to benefit patients and clients of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS).
Responsibilities
Delivering patient care, consulting on complex gastroenterology cases, supervising and mentoring junior medical staff, and contributing to teaching and clinical education.
Qualifications
* Proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association.
* Gastroenterology specialist registration or eligibility to hold registration with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
* Eligibility to travel to other facilities within or outside the THHS.
* Ability to supervise and mentor junior medical staff.
Competitive salary and benefits
* Salary range: $216,643 to $274,678 p.a. (L18-L27)
* 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
* 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
