Our client located in Berrinba area are looking for a Planning Officer for their team.
Working within the National Fire Ant Eradication Program (NFAEP), to support aerial treatment operations through expert geospatial mapping, operational planning, and data management. You'll play a key role in enabling large-scale aerial spraying programs using RPAS (drones) and helicopters.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide accurate mapping and data to support aerial treatment operations using RPAS and helicopters.
Lead and supervise a specialist team, including performance management, training, rostering, and leave coordination.
Train staff in SOPs and policies, ensuring compliance and regular updates.
Allocate tasks, monitor progress, resolve issues, and manage resources effectively.
Align team activities with the FAST work plan and Aerial Treatment Program priorities.
Track operational performance, address variances, and contribute to future planning.
Prepare high-quality reports to support informed management decisions.
Mentor new staff and provide high-quality customer and stakeholder support.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
Practical experience with ArcGIS or similar GIS tools.
Strong data management and analytical skills.
Background in customer service or operational administration.
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and drive continuous improvement.
