Position: Hotel Manager
Salary: $75,000 to $80,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation
Mode: Full-time
Hours: 38 hours per week

Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
* Managing and coordinating the overall daily operations of the hotel, including front office, reservations, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services
* Supervising reception and accommodation activities to ensure efficient check-in, check-out, and guest support services
* Monitoring room occupancy, reservations, and booking systems to maximise revenue and operational performance
* Overseeing housekeeping standards to ensure rooms and common areas are maintained to a high level of cleanliness and presentation
* Coordinating maintenance, security, and property upkeep to ensure guest comfort and safety at all times
* Planning and supervising food and beverage operations, conference functions, and event-related activities where required
* Handling guest enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
* Reviewing guest service standards and implementing improvements to enhance the overall guest experience
* Monitoring operational budgets, purchasing, stock control, and general accounting activities to support profitability and cost efficiency
* Ensuring compliance with hospitality industry regulations, workplace health and safety requirements, liquor licensing obligations, and hotel policies
* Recruiting, training, supervising, and supporting hotel staff to maintain strong team performance and service standards
* Preparing operational reports and liaising with management regarding business performance, occupancy, and service improvements
* Assisting guests with local tourism information, transportation arrangements, and recommendations for attractions and activities in Canberra
* Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers to support smooth hotel operations
* Implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency, guest retention, and overall hotel performance
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management or related field
* Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in hotel or hospitality management
Skills & Other Requirements
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Ability to manage hotel operations in a fast-paced environment
* Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and hospitality compliance requirements
* Experience with reservations systems, customer service management, and staff supervision
