What You'll Be Doing
The Clinical Nurse Consultant provides expert person‐centred clinical consultancy and direct care services to individuals, carers and other health care professionals within a defined specialty to provide a people focused quality clinical consultancy service in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Selection Criteria
* Current registration with AHPRA, with a minimum of 5 years full‐time equivalent postgraduate experience in endoscopy, perioperative, or gastroenterology nursing.
* Demonstrated clinical knowledge of bowel health, gastrointestinal conditions, colonoscopy procedures, and polyp surveillance guidelines, with the ability to apply this knowledge in practice.
* Demonstrated understanding and application of research and evidence‐based practice, with the ability to think critically, problem‐solve, and link outcomes to continuous quality improvement principles within the specialty.
* Proven ability to develop, implement, present, and evaluate education programmes, clinical procedures, and policies for staff and the community.
* Highly developed interpersonal, written, verbal, and computer skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, alongside demonstrated clinical leadership capability, including providing consultancy, education, and support to patients, families, and health professionals.
* Current unrestricted driver's licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances.
