As an Allied Health Assistant, you will work alongside a friendly and experienced multidisciplinary team dedicated to helping kids thrive. Your primary role will be delivering face-to-face therapy sessions based on programs developed by the supervising Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist.
* You will deliver therapy sessions that cater to individual needs, promoting healthy development in children.
* You will support a range of group programs designed to enhance social skills and emotional well-being.
* Your duties may include visiting children in their home or community when required, providing administrative assistance, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
* You will also contribute to the development and maintenance of therapy tools, visual aids, and client handouts.
Requirements:
* Prior experience working with children in a school or pre-school setting is desirable.
* A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (HLT43015) with Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology stream is essential.
* Candidates who are currently studying a recognized degree in Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy are encouraged to apply.
* The ability to follow therapy programs under supervision and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills is crucial.
* A commitment to evidence-based practice and client-centered care is expected.
* A current Working With Children Check and reliable transportation (if outreach work is required) are necessary.
