About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Casual Food Service Assistant to join the team at Mareeba Gardens. You will support the catering team by assisting with meal preparation, service, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organised dining environment for our residents.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation, plating, and service to ensure residents receive nutritious, well-presented meals.
- Support dietary requirements under the guidance of the clinical and catering teams.
- Maintain cleanliness in kitchen, dining, and service areas in line with food safety standards.
- Assist with stock handling, including restocking and basic inventory support.
- Uphold the Food Safety Program and follow safe work practices at all times.
- Work effectively within the team to support smooth daily operations.
- Perform additional duties within your skill level as directed by the organisation.
Qualifications
- Food Handling Course (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience in hospitality, kitchen work, or food service.
- Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
- Ability to meet Aged Care Worker Screening requirements.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to supporting older residents.
