Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met.
* Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas.
* Support residents who require assistance with eating for comfort and safety.
* Observe and record residents' food and fluid intake, reporting concerns to nursing staff.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in a food service role, preferably in aged care or healthcare setting.
* Valid food safety handling certificate.
* Knowledge of common dietary restrictions (e.g., gluten‐free, diabetic, low‐sodium) and ability to accommodate them.
* Effective communication skills with residents, staff and family members, demonstrating empathy and respect.
* Valid police check and work rights in Australia.
