About the role
The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences is seeking an Events and Administration Officer to lead the planning and delivery of hallmark and strategic events that showcase the Faculty's excellence and engagement. This role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality event experiences for internal and external stakeholders.
You will work closely with the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Engagement and collaborate across the Faculty and University to deliver events that align with strategic objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and organised professional who thrives in a dynamic environment.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
* lead planning and execution of hallmark and strategic events, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to manage timelines, resources, and performance metrics
* design and implement targeted marketing campaigns to maximise visibility and engagement
* coordinate on-campus and off-campus venues, ensuring seamless event delivery
* evaluate event outcomes against KPIs and provide insights for future planning
* manage stakeholder communications and foster strong collaborative relationships
* oversee purchasing processes, reporting, and compliance with University systems
* Promote health and safety standards across all event activities.
About you
We are looking for a candidate who has:
* a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Event Management or equivalent experience
* demonstrated experience in event coordination and administration within a large, complex organisation
* strong organisational and project management skills with attention to detail
* knowledge in the latest event trends and digital enhancements
* excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
* Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative to achieve quality outcomes.
