About the Role
Toll is seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join its dynamic IT team.
This pivotal role involves designing, implementing, and managing complex WAN and LAN environments, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing network solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deploy mixed protocol WANs and LANs using technologies such as MPLS VPN, SD-WAN, SASE, IPsec VPN, Cloud WAN, and 5G WAN Edge.
* Lead the implementation of new network communications technologies.
* Manage network security policies and ensure infrastructure integrity.
* Provide 2nd/3rd line technical support across networks and end-user computing.
* Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
* Patch, upgrade, and secure infrastructure in line with IT security policies.
* Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to deliver infrastructure projects.
* Maintain technical documentation and participate in out-of-hours support and maintenance.
Requirements
* Proven experience in Infrastructure, Support, or Field Services Engineering.
* Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, switches, routers).
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar).
* Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
* Willingness to travel nationwide and participate in out-of-hours work.
Preferred Qualifications
* Certifications: Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE), VMware (VCP), Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), CompTIA (Network+ / Security+).
* Experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
* Knowledge of ITIL framework.
* Previous Australian Defence Clearance.
