Supervisor – Services
Glencore Mount Isa Mines is currently seeking a Supervisor Services within our Operations Services team, reporting to the Superintendent Services. In this role you will effectively co-ordinate and supervise personnel as they complete shift activities at the Zinc Filter plant Operation asset.
The Role
As the Supervisor – Services, you will be responsible for ensuring all tasks and duties are completed safely, efficiently, and on time in support of Surface Operations. Responsibilities include the day‐to‐day management of wet and dry reagents, media control, housekeeping support across multiple plant assets, coordination and operation of employee transportation, management of third‐party concentrate handling activities, and maintenance of housekeeping standards within concentrator administration buildings. This is a residential position requiring a 5/2, 4/3 9‐hour day roster.
* Manage a team of approximately 10 employees and contractors
* Ensure reagent availability for both concentrators
* Mill media addition and management for the zinc concentrator
* Develop contingency plans for continuous improvement
* Ownership and management of a small fleet of vehicles and equipment including forklifts, loaders, excavators and bobcats
* Meet agreed targets in line with company values
* Provide mentoring and effective communication with crew
* Maintain a safety‐focused work environment and uphold training and compliance standards
Qualifications and Skills
* Previous experience with frontline leadership
* Minimum of 5 years experience in the operational side of the mining industry
* Strong work ethic and ability to lead by example
* Genuine interest in leading safe teams
* Experience in budget control and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Ellipse, SAP and/or similar software packages
* Technical knowledge in filtration plant operations
* High level of organisational skills
