About the role

AGA has partnered with an exceptional residential and light commercial builder, and we are on the hunt for a 1st year Carpentry Apprentice to join their team.

This role is a fulltime position, working in and around Inverloch and will see the successful applicant completing a Certificate III in Carpentry while gaining hands on experience within the industry.

As an apprentice, you will be provided ongoing support throughout your journey and be empowered to thrive. You will build a career from the ground up, completing tasks that set you up for success within the industry.

What you will be doing

* Assist experienced carpenters in the construction and installation of various woodwork elements, such as framing, lock-up, fixing, cladding, metal framing.
* Learn how to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
* Gain practical experience in the safe use of power tools and hand tools
* Participate in regular training and development to enhance your carpentry knowledge and skills
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
* Complete other tasks as directed

What we are looking for

* Current driver's license and reliable vehicle (advantage)
* White Card
* Someone that is confident, productive, proactive and eager to learn
* Certificate II in Carpentry (highly desired)
* Ability to take direction and receive constructive feedback
