About the role
You will work closely with the Finance and Operations Teams to manage and enhance our financial systems and reporting processes. You'll be responsible for key day-to-day accounting activities across all Parabellum entities, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency. Your scope will include project reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, payroll support, inventory management, and systems and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
* Prepare and process journals, accruals, prepayments and intercompany transactions.
* Maintain general ledger accuracy across all entities.
* Complete balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
* Prepare monthly management reports.
Statutory Reporting
* Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG, IAS and FBT returns.
Banking
* Upload and process bank payments.
* Perform daily bank reconciliations.
* Assist with cashflow forecasting.
* Manage finance facilities and related reporting.
Month-End & Year-End Close
* Ensure timely and accurate entry of transactions.
* Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
* Support preparation of annual finance statements.
Inventory & Asset Management
* Maintain and reconcile inventory records.
* Manage the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
Support
* Provide support and act as a point of escalation for accounts payable and payroll.
Systems & Process Improvement
* Support and assist with the implementation of new accounting system.
* Review, and improve existing finance procedures, processes and reports.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
* 3 years + of accounting experience.
* Degree qualified.
* CA/ CPA (or part qualified).
* Experience with Pronto advantageous.
* Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge.
* Strong understanding of accounting principle, concepts and practices.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
