The Responsibilities:
Overseeing month-end close activities, including preparation of management reports, P&L;, and balance sheets. Tracking actuals against budget and delivering variance analysis with recommendations. Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigating discrepancies. Supporting project accounting through feasibility analysis, forecasting, and cost management. Aligning project forecasts with general ledger actuals to ensure accuracy and completeness. Preparing cash flow forecasts, performing bank reconciliations, and assisting with loan covenant reporting. Collaborating with external tax advisors and managing monthly BAS submissions Assisting with budgeting processes and delivering key financial insights to stakeholders. Producing accurate and timely financial reports for internal stakeholders. Identifying and implementing improvements in financial systems and reporting processes.
The Requirements: CA/CPA qualified. 4+ years' experience in financial or project accounting, ideally within property or construction. Solid Excel skills and experience using ERP accounting software. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Self-starter with a proactive approach and ability to meet deadlines. Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
To Note: This is a full-time permanent role based in the office 5 days per week in North Sydney. Only considering candidates with full Australian working rights (citizenship or PR).
