The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and capable Senior or Lead Mechanical Engineer – Project Delivery to join our team. This is a hands‐on senior role where you will take ownership of project delivery outcomes, work directly with major resources clients, and bring both technical rigour and coordination capability to a high‐performing team.
Position Overview
* Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of engineering projects from concept through to execution.
* Manage project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting and progress tracking.
* Coordinate inputs across multiple engineering disciplines to ensure quality and timely delivery.
* Apply engineering expertise to resolve design issues, and provide technical direction to project teams.
* Prepare and review technical documentation, scopes of work, reports and project deliverables.
* Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders to maintain effective communication throughout project delivery.
* Monitor project risks, actions and priorities, and contribute to mitigation strategies.
* Support procurement, contractor coordination and construction/implementation activities where required.
* Ensure work is completed in accordance with relevant standards, client requirements and internal quality procedures.
* Contribute to continuous improvement and the delivery of practical, cost‐effective engineering solutions.
About You
* Degree‐qualified in Engineering, with a minimum of 8-10 years' experience.
* Demonstrated experience in engineering design and project delivery within the minerals processing field.
* Capacity and interest to undertake short‐term site‐based assignments in support of project delivery (typically infrequent).
* Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
* Sound technical understanding and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple deliverables.
* Experience with project documentation, scheduling, reporting and stakeholder coordination.
* Commercial awareness and a practical, solutions‐focused approach.
* Commitment to safety, quality and client service.
* Registered or working toward CPEng status (desirable).
