Overview

Water/Wastewater Treatment Project Manager role at WithersRavenel in Charlotte, North Carolina. This hybrid position is based out of our Charlotte, NC office within the Utilities (Water/Wastewater) practice area. In this role, you will contribute to the planning, design, and management of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, distribution, and collection systems. You will oversee project execution, develop process designs, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Ideal candidates have experience in water/wastewater treatment processes, hydraulic modeling, permitting, and construction administration, with a passion for delivering sustainable and resilient water infrastructure solutions.


Responsibilities

* Manage water/wastewater treatment and conveyance projects from planning through construction
* Develop and review process designs, technical reports, and construction documents
* Coordinate and communicate with internal teams and clients
* Monitor project budgets, schedules, and scopes to ensure successful delivery
* Support permitting efforts and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements
* Lead or participate in project meetings, design workshops, and site visits
* Assist with proposal development and contribute to client relationship management
* Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff


Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
* Licensed Professional Engineer
* 7+ years of experience in treatment design and infrastructure projects with demonstrated team management experience
* Proficiency in hydraulic modeling, treatment process design, pump station design, and utility infrastructure
* Self-motivated, engaged, and team-oriented with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
* Strong leadership and project management skills as well as excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
* Knowledge of contracts, accounting principles, including budgeting and forecasting
* Execute multiple tasks under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
* Proven track record of fostering existing client relationships
