Due to their consistent and impressive growth, this role has been newly created for a Head of Finance Finance Australia to work closely with the ANZ Executive Leadership Team. You will be instrumental in accelerating this organisations growth and performance in the Australian market. ABOUT THE ROLE: Reporting to an entrepreneurial and highly influential regional CFO who is based locally, this Head of Finance will be responsible for the Australian finance function. This position will support the delivery of major commercial finance objectives as the organisation aims to continue its aggressive growth journey. The Head of Finance will act as a true partner and 2IC to the CFO and Leadership Team to provide ongoing strategic support, change management, transformation and efficiency improvements. You will also be responsible for leading and driving key commercial decisions. The key success factor will be your ability to business partner and lead a team through the development of a high performance culture. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the regional CFO based locally and working in partnership with the Executive leadership team, your key responsibilities as the Head of Finance Australia will include: Leadership - manage, lead and nurture a team of 12 (including 3 Managers) developing meaningful performance management and development plans for your team; Financial business partnership – Act as a true 2IC and partner to the CFO and Executive Leadership team to support commercial strategy and financial direction; Operational performance management - Provide financial advice and support to key business leaders to effectively and efficiently manage business operations and performance; Financial stewardship - manage and oversee the group finance function including timely delivery of month end processes, companywide commercial planning and board reporting; Financial planning & analysis – Manage and oversee the commercial planning and reporting function including budgeting, forecasting and annual planning process for the ANZ business ensuring strategic alignment to business objectives; Business strategy - Work closely with the leadership team on long term business plans, strategic growth initiatives, new business concepts, expansion plans and capital strategy; Strategy development & execution - Be the critical finance lead in the development and execution of organisational strategy across ANZ; Take ownership for financial and commercial risk - Deliver plans to execute strategic initiatives and meet forecasted revenue and EBIT; Business process improvement - Spearhead improvement and best practise across finance transformation including new reporting, systems and processes. Commercial management - pro-actively drive risk & opportunity analysis, contract and tender negotiations, pricing and margin improvement, brand penetration and promotional effectiveness; Stakeholder relationship management – establish collaborative cross functional relationships with sales, marketing and operations to meet business needs as well as coaching and contributing to business strategy. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Given this is a newly created position, as you can appreciate, our client has a very specific criteria for the sourcing of this position. You are a CA/CPA qualified finance leader with a strong passion for business and transformation. Beyond a high performance and outstanding career profile, you have a burning desire for supporting growth through effective business partnering and commercial decision support. You ideally possess relevant industry experience within manufacturing/construction/supply chain/inventory/distribution/product. You are a collaborative and empowered commercial finance leader that will nurture, inspire and grow your team. You will bring to the role strong commercial acumen, vision for growth, and a passion for best in class processes. You must be able to display the hunger, energy and drive that you are willing to be hands-on, not afraid of a challenge whilst having the gravitas to communicate and influence an impressive executive leadership team. You ideally commenced your early career within a Big 4/Mid-Tier chartered firm and have since gained strong technical corporate rigour across large global blue chip businesses or from an ASX listed environment. You are now looking to fast track your career towards a Head of Finance role by proving yourself in a broad finance leadership role in a fast-growing, globally listed, high performing organisation.
