About the opportunity
As a School Crossing Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of school crossings within our community. Your responsibilities will include rostering supervisors, overseeing training and development, processing payroll, conducting safety audits, and liaising with local schools to provide educational talks. With your well-developed administrative skills and attention to detail, you'll ensure all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
You will make an impact by
* Coordinating and supporting theday‐to‐dayactivities of School Crossing Supervisors across the Shire.
* Ensuringaccuraterostering, payroll processing and leave administration to support uninterrupted service delivery.
* Overseeing recruitment, training,developmentand performance monitoring of Supervisors.
* Maintaininghigh standardsof workplace safety through OH&S inspections and safety audits.
* Building positive relationships with local schools and contributing to education and awareness initiatives.
What you will bring
* Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and provide clear support,guidanceand direction.
* Experience in administration, coordinationor office management, ideally within a compliance or community services environment.
* Completion of a Certificate in Business (Office Administration) or equivalent relevant experience.
* Well‐developedorganisational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage competing workloads.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with schools, staffand internal stakeholders.
* Sound understanding of payroll processes, record‐keepingand compliance requirements such as Working with Children Checks.
* A commitment to workplace health and safety, risk managementand alignment with the Cardinia Values Framework.
