Band 6 - Salary Range $97,926 to $106,637 per annum + 12% Super + ADO

Opportunity
Melton City Council seeks a fixed term full time Team Leader to manage the School Crossings, Administration and Prosecution programs for the Amenity Protection team. The role will report to the Coordinator Amenity Protection and will supervise the 100+ school crossing staff and 6 administration officers.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing day‐to‐day supervision and support to School Crossing Supervisors, including training, rostering, uniforms, timesheets, leave applications and monitoring and reporting of performance.
* Providing day‐to‐day supervision and support to the Administration Officers to ensure administration functions for the unit are delivered within expected timeframes.
* Organising the Community Safety Department's prosecution program, including processing of documentation, court appearance, liaison with legal representation and processing of recovered funds in line with relevant legislation.
* Lodging reports for damaged school crossings to the appropriate service unit.
* Monitoring the School Crossing budget, identifying discrepancies, and assisting with budget development in conjunction with the coordinator.
* Occasional out‐of‐hour work requirements.
About you
* Tertiary Qualification in Government (Statutory Compliance) or relevant experience in a regulatory environment.
* Supervisory experience and/or demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff.
* Relevant experience in court attendance and prosecution procedures.
* Relevant experience in a customer service environment.
* Knowledge and experience in rostering large groups.
* Current valid Victorian Driver's Licence and Working with Children's check.
* Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
