A leading, fast-growing non-bank lender is seeking multiple Senior Credit Analysts to join its Melbourne based credit team. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring high-quality credit decisions, maintaining strong risk standards, and supporting the business through accurate assessments, sound judgement, and effective stakeholder engagement.
Key responsibilities
* Conducting detailed credit assessments on allocated residential, commercial, SMSF and construction applications
* Providing clear recommendations to Delegated Lending Authority holders (if applicable)
* Identifying and escalating potential fraud risks
* Maintaining high-quality data standards and documentation
* Applying sound judgement to identify and manage operational and credit risk
* Ensuring adherence to credit policy, regulatory guidance and legal requirements
* Building effective relationships with internal stakeholders to support strong outcomes
* Contributing to a high-performing, collaborative team culture
* Supporting activities across the organisation's global entities
The ideal background
* 2 - 4+ years' experience in lending or credit assessment, with exposure to one or more of residential, commercial, SMSF and/or construction lending
* Experience working in a manual credit assessment environment
* Ability to work autonomously with strong self-motivation
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a genuine "can-do" attitude
* Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
* Ability to adapt quickly, learn on the fly, and perform under pressure
* Commitment to integrity, teamwork, fairness and continuous improvement
