Role Overview
We're seeking a Lead Network Engineer to architect, implement, and operate complex enterprise and service-provider networks. You will own HLD/LLD, lead multi-site delivery, drive SD‐WAN strategy and rollout, automate pre/post-change validations, and mentor engineers. This is a Cisco-centric environment with strong expectations around documentation quality, reliability, and measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
1. Own architecture and design for campus, WAN, data centre, and cloud connectivity.
2. Lead SD‐WAN design and migration at scale (policy logic: DIA vs backhaul, segmentation, failover).
3. Design and configure BGP/OSPF/IS‐IS, MPLS L2/L3 VPN, QoS; troubleshoot P1/P2 incidents.
4. Build production‐grade automation (Python, Ansible, APIs) for validation/compliance/drift checks.
5. Apply robust security and compliance practices (segmentation, ACLs, hardening, governance).
6. Produce high‐quality HLD/LLD, runbooks, and incident RCA reports.
7. Mentor engineers and collaborate with security, cloud, and PMO teams.
8. Own measurable outcomes (availability ≥99.99%, MTTR reduction, automation adoption).
Skills & Experience
* Strong experience in SD‐WAN design & migration (Cisco Viptela, VMware VeloCloud; Meraki acceptable only with demonstrated design authority and measured outcomes).
* Advanced routing/switching (BGP/OSPF/IS‐IS, VLANs, HA, ECMP) in enterprise‐scale environments.
* MPLS (L2/L3 VPN) and QoS design (LLQ/CBWFQ/WRED) with measurable results.
* Automation: Python, Ansible, Jinja2, and REST/NETCONF/RESTCONF/DNAC APIs.
* Proven ownership of HLD/LLD/As‐Built/runbooks and business‐grade RCAs.
* End‐to‐end project leadership across multi‐site environments.
* Preferred: SDA & DNAC/Catalyst Center, Segment Routing (SR‐MPLS/SR‐TE), regulated industries, CCNP/CCIE/DevNet certifications.
