By getting the purchasing done, of course.If you’ve got solid experience in supply chain, particularly at least three years in purchasing or buyer roles, this could be your next gig.The GigAs a Materials Buyer/Planner, your role will be the linchpin in a fast-moving supply chain environment.You’ll need to be on your game, as you’ll be actioning a bustling inbox of inbound orders, ensuring purchasing is smooth and timely.You’ll also own your purchasing schedule, leveraging the MRP to analyse fluctuating demand, track supplies and place purchase orders to make sure everything is exactly where it needs to be. You'll run and analyse reports to keep the schedule accurate and up to date.Collaboration will be key. You’ll work closely with suppliers and internal teams like demand planning, customer service and operations to make sure everything stays on track.Materials flow. Schedules stay on track.
