About the Role
This is a permanent 0.8 FTE position commencing ASAP, comprised of:
* 0.6 teaching load: Science across Years 7–10
You'll teach engaging, curriculum‐aligned lessons and also support the safe set‐up, organisation and smooth running of practical Science.
You will be paid a 0.8 FTE Teaching load.
* Small class sizes and a supportive, close‐knitted staff team
* Paid a 0.8 FTE teaching salary but only have a 0.6 FT load and 0.2 FTE allocation for lab management
* Engaged students and a positive school culture
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Science lessons
* Differentiate learning to support a range of abilities and learning needs
* Assess and report on student progress and provide timely feedback
* Foster positive student engagement and classroom culture
* Coordinate the Science lab including equipment/resource management and safe practical procedures
You will have:
* Tertiary qualifications in Education
* Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
* Experience teaching Science across Years 7–10 (or strong capability to do so)
* Confidence supporting practical Science and lab organisation
* Strong relationship‐building and classroom management skills
* A willingness to work within a faith‐based school environment (open to applicants from all backgrounds)
