Transport Manager — Port of Brisbane
Salary: $140,000 - $170,000 + Benefits + Holiday + Super

The Company
This established logistics and transport business provides container transport and freight solutions nationally. With a strong reputation for customer service, operational excellence and safety, they continue to grow their transport division and invest in their people.
Due to ongoing success of the Brisbane operation, they are now looking to appoint a Transport Manager to lead day-to-day transport operations and support the continued growth of the Brisbane branch.
The Role
In this role you will take ownership of transport operations across the site, leading drivers, supervisors and operational teams to ensure safe, efficient and compliant service delivery. You will be responsible for scheduling, operational performance, team leadership and customer outcomes, while maintaining a strong presence on the floor supporting the team.
This role would suit an experienced Transport Manager, Transport Supervisor or Operations Manager who enjoys building relationships with staff, driving continuous improvement and taking accountability for operational results. You\'ll be given the autonomy to run the operation without micromanagement while working closely with senior leadership to support future growth.
The business is keen to continue expanding the Queensland operation and are looking for the right person who will help them push forward on that journey.
Duties
* Lead day-to-day transport operations and scheduling activities
* Manage driver productivity, utilisation and operational performance
* Lead, coach and develop transport personnel and supervisors
* Maintain compliance with transport, safety and Chain of Responsibility requirements
* Support incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
* This is a hands on leadership role requiring someone who is happy to be on the shop floor, not just sat in the office all day
Requirements
* Experience in transport, logistics or freight operations management
* Background in wharf or freight forwarding operations
* Strong focus on safety, compliance and operational excellence
* Hands-on leadership style with willingness to spend time on the floor with the team
