Senior Paraplanner – Advice and Strategy

The Senior Advice Associate is a hybrid role and supports the business in the collection of pertinent information, assessment of a client's relevant circumstances, completion of complex strategic investigations and preparation of high‐quality personal advice. This role works closely with Advisers across a broad range of strategies including superannuation, investments, lending and wealth creation, and plays a key role in maintaining consistent advice standards.
Responsibilities
* Preparing advice documents, including Statements of Advice (SOAs), Records of Advice (ROAs) and strategy papers, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards
* Partnering closely with Advisers to shape and document strategy across more complex client scenarios, including superannuation, investments, retirement planning, lending and insurance
* Undertaking product comparisons, modelling and research, including liaising with providers to obtain relevant information
* Managing workflow, deadlines and turnaround times to ensure a high standard of output across all advice documentation
* Supporting continuous improvement across templates, processes and documentation standards
* Providing guidance and mentoring to paraplanning team members, while collaborating closely with Advisers and Client Services to deliver a seamless client experience
Qualifications
* Committed to delivering high quality personal advice that is always in the best interest of the client
* Confident managing paraplanning outcomes end to end, with strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
* A clear communicator with the ability to translate complex advice into plain English
* Technically strong, with excellent attention to detail, problem solving ability and initiative
* Well versed in regulatory requirements and risk management frameworks within advice
* Experienced across investment, superannuation, retirement planning and personal insurance strategies, with exposure to SMSF highly regarded
* Comfortable working with financial planning software and learning new systems in a growing business
* Confident engaging with clients and contributing to professional discussions where required
* Experienced using Xplan (Compass), with Salesforce CRM exposure advantageous
* Familiar with SMSF strategies including establishment and property structures (highly desirable)
* Able to liaise effectively with providers, including superannuation funds, insurers and BDMs
* A team player who works collaboratively with advisers, support staff and broader specialists across lending and finance
