About The Role

In this hybrid role, you will support both the General Administration and Rehabilitation departments and report to the Front Office Manager. You will provide a high level of customer service by greeting patients and handling relevant paperwork and administrative duties.

As an Administration Clerk, your responsibilities include:

1. Performing a range of administrative duties such as answering calls, emails, and faxes.
2. Preparing admission and discharge paperwork.
3. Maintaining accurate record management systems, including medical records.
4. Coordinating with staff from other departments.
5. Maintaining and ordering ward stationery.
6. Assisting with electronic discharge systems.
7. Organizing external patient appointments and following up on results.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will:

1. Provide high-level administrative support to both departments.
2. Be enthusiastic and passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
3. Communicate empathetically and manage a busy flow of patients.
4. Have strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with medical and administrative staff.
5. Have proven medical administration experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment requiring adaptability and efficiency.

You will also demonstrate:

1. Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
2. Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office and data entry accuracy.
3. Experience in hospital administration or as a medical secretary is preferred but not essential.
4. Experience with Patient Information Systems (e.g., Meditech).
5. Desirable: Certificate in Medical Terminology and experience with hospital mainframe systems.

Requirements

* Must provide a National Police check conducted within the last 12 months.
