Accounts Payable Duties
* Ensure invoices and delivery dockets are matched with corresponding approved purchase orders and have adequate authorisation.
* Ensure correct General Ledger codes are consistently used and recorded on all invoices.
* Ensure payment runs are performed on a timely basis in line with agreed credit terms.
* Prepare payment runs for approval and attach all supporting documentation to present to the Director of Finance and General Manager.
* Liaise with external suppliers and internal claimants to achieve compliance with systems, procedures and processes.
Income Audit Duties
* Prepare daily revenue report and F&B covers and submit to Director of Finance/Accountant for review.
* Review daily rebate vouchers and corrections of the day report to ensure they are appropriately approved, explained and accurate.
* Review daily paperwork for each F&B and Front Office cashier to ensure they are properly balanced at the end of their shift.
* Ensure coded checks, voids and discounts are recorded correctly.
General Cashier Duties
* Count and verify money in cashier envelopes.
* Prepare bank deposit slips for cash, cheques, foreign exchange and credit cards; arrange pick‐up of daily banking.
* Prepare daily house bank statement.
* Prepare the General Cashier's daily report and monthly summary.
* Provide all cashiers' daily change, including weekend floats and change for special occasions when required.
* Undertake any other duties as directed by management, including general ledger reconciliations.
* Attend meetings as required.
* Meet grooming standards set out in the Associate Handbook.
* Anticipate guests' needs through observation and offer prompt, efficient service either personally or through effective communication.
* Comply with hotel policies and procedures and with Marriott's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and the Policy against Insider Trading.
* Work as directed by Management and follow all reasonable requests.
