About the role:
Goodline currently requires an experiencedMechanical Supervisorto join our Port Hedland Residentialteam. This role requires someone with diplomacy, tenacity and commitment. Working with a skilled Superintendent your oversight will reach out to approximately 150 people across multiple sites and activities including fixed plant maintenance; structural remediation; brown field operational construction projects; marine works; deconstruction, repair, fabrication, boiler-making and scaffolding.
Duties include:
* Leading, directing and motivating a diverse team, including boilermakers, fitters, scaffolders, crane operators and riggers
* Maintain and build relationships with clients, offering services, quoting and tendering works, creating win-win relationships;
* Manage and deliver expert advice and assistance to campaign industry best practice and to ensure the quality of work delivered to clients and external stakeholders is consistently of a high standard;
* High level planning and strategic thinking skills with the ability to set priorities and manage complex workflows across multiple work fronts
* Ensuring workers implement control measures to minimise risk to health and safety of themselves and others
* Report incidents, non-conformances and near misses and participate in incident investigations when required
* Collaborating with project engineers/managers, mechanical/ civil/ electrical disciplines and other stakeholders
* Conduct Prestart meetings and toolbox talks
The successful candidate will be an advocate for the business both within the organisation and externally. This will require a strong commitment to meeting client expectations, as well as positive and productive relationship management skills and a continual improvement mindset.
About you:
* Australian recognised trade certificate (Mechanical)
* Experience in supervisory positions
* Previous experience working on mine sites
* Current drivers' licence
You will be a team player with outstanding communication and leadership skills, who is passionate about all aspects of mechanical works. Working with a diverse team of skilled tradespeople you will have a sound understanding of general mechanical works and the flexibility to undertake a variety of different tasks and scopes. You will embrace a proactive safety culture and be willing to comply with all site policies and procedures.
