With an annual turnover approaching $100M, a workforce of over 750 employees and 200 volunteers, Suncare's reach spans the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, Fraser Coast and Greater Brisbane areas.
About Suncare
Suncare is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not‐for‐Profit Commission (ACNC) and is governed by a board of non‐executive directors. The board is seeking to appoint two independent, non‐executive directors as part of planned board renewal.
Key Selection Criteria
The board is seeking to appoint two independent, non‐executive directors who bring demonstrated skills and experience in one of the following areas:
* Skillset 1: Government relations and aged care policy
o Established networks across government and industry, with the ability to advocate effectively for the aged care sector.
o Senior‐level experience engaging with or working within government, and a sound understanding of aged care policy, regulation and reform.
* Skillset 2: Clinical Leadership
o Demonstrated expertise in clinical leadership, governance, and service delivery quality and safety in the aged care sector.
o Expertise in risk management, clinical governance, workforce strategy, or digital transformation.
* Experience operating in a regulated or government‐funded environment, particularly in aged care, health, or disability, and an understanding of the not‐for‐profit sector is highly desirable.
* Having directors based in the geographic areas serviced by Suncare is desirable. Candidates must be based in Queensland.
Remuneration
Directors will receive a base fee with additional loadings for committee chairs and members.
