Salary based on the Local Government Award + 12% super
Responsibilities
- Support the team and organisation through providing high quality, accurate and timely support in delivery of services.
- Assist in the preparation of high-level written documentation on matters involving building control and development assessment.
- Accurate and efficient data input and records management using a range of Council databases and software.
- Contribute to improving processes and services provided by the team to ensure effective, efficient, and safe delivery of objectives.
- Contribute to a positive safety culture within the organisation through completion of required documentation, reporting incidents/hazards/near misses and contributing to team discussions.
- Other tasks and initiatives as directed by supervisor or senior management.

Required Certificates
- SafeWork Construction Induction Certificate (WHS White Card)
- Class C Driver Licence (includes P1 or P2)
About the Role
Bachelor of Building Surveying (Honours) – 192 credit points
Study time: 6 hours per week during academic term
A minimum of 4 units must be completed per academic year
Financial Assistance: 100% of course fees provided, in accordance with the Training and Development Scholarship Program Policy.
Completion of Scholarship: At the successful completion of the bachelor’s degree, the employee will be required to complete a minimum of two years’ service with Richmond Valley Council.
