About the Position
Reporting to the Field Regional Service & Support Manager, you will join our Services & Support Division for the APAC region. This role primarily supports WA‐based projects and, as part of the APAC region, supports interstate and international assignments as required.
Your key focus will be site installation and service support for our clients across the CAS and FMS portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Repair, install, configure, commission and support electronic, microprocessor‐based systems and radio communications equipment including CAS/FMS systems.
* Support a wide range of client sites to ensure Hexagon Mining technology solutions operate effectively.
* Provide training, instruction and advice to customers on the effective use and operation of Hexagon Mining technology solutions.
The role has a roster pattern that may vary depending on assignment, including M-F, 7:7, 8:6, and possibilities of changing weekly depending on customer requests. It is either FIFO or DIDO based on assignment location; company vehicles are provided if required. International rosters may vary depending on assignment requirements.
About You
We are looking for an experienced auto electrician / electronics or communication technician with a background in mining OT technology. If you thrive in a dynamic environment with industry‐leading technology across a broad client base, this is the role for you.
Qualifications and Skills
* Cert III or IV in Auto Electrician, Electronics, Industrial Electronics, Instrumentation or Communications.
* Prior exposure to OT system installation, commissioning and maintenance within mining equipment.
* Ability to work agile roster patterns both domestically and internationally.
* Experience in on‐site installation, system configuration, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of technology hardware or systems.
* Australian working rights: Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen.
* Ability to work independently or within a team‐based environment, building strong interpersonal relations.
* Customer‐centric and solution‐focused approach to problem solving, skilled in agility and adaptability.
* Minimum 1‐2 years experience with CAS or FMS systems in mining environments.
* Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems, and supporting, diagnosing and troubleshooting diverse environments with a focus on electronic/electrical repairs.
* Experience in industries such as electronics, radio, television, automotive, mining or similar.
* Basic knowledge/understanding of LANs, WANs, working with Linux OS Command Line Interface (desirable).
* Good computing skills (firmware and software loading and management, troubleshooting, administration tasks and email).
