Residential Aged Care Visitor - enjoy a scenic drive and chat - Colac 3250
The Role: In your volunteer role you will be paired with a male in his 70s to provide regular social support visits at a residential aged care facility in Colac. He grew up in England in the 50s, played rugby union, had 3 children as well as some grandchildren, worked in admin and knows his way around a computer. He is wanting to do occasional outings, going for a scenic drive to enjoy the beautiful landscapes around him (staff will assist him in and out of car) before returning to have a coffee at the facility. Then weather permitting, he would like to have a coffee outside while you chat and he can walk short distances with his wheelie walker. Get to know someone new and make a difference in your local community
Our Client: He would love to have a conversation about country and western music, concerts, games, motor racing, cricket, football and sports in general. He would also enjoy getting to know you and would be grateful for fortnightly visits from a volunteer for companionship and conversation.
