The N. & A. Fruit Distributors Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Network Administrator to join our growing team in Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting our network systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage connectivity between remote farming locations, processing plants, and distribution centres to enable real-time tracking of produce and logistics.
* Implement and maintain security protocols to safeguard sensitive business data, including supply chain, customer, and export information.
* Install, configure, and upgrade network hardware and software such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems across multiple sites.
* Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime in critical operations like packing, inventory systems, and shipping.
* Support cloud-based platforms and ensure secure remote access for staff, partners, and international stakeholders.
* Work closely with farm managers, logistics teams, and IT staff to align network solutions with production schedules and distribution demands.
* Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity during outages or system failures.
* Monitor network performance and recommend improvements to support scaling operations and growing global demand.
* Maintain accurate records of network configurations and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
* Ensure reliable operation of all network systems across orchards, packing facilities, warehouses, and corporate offices, supporting uninterrupted production and distribution.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications on Information Technology or a related field
* Minimum 1 year of experience in a relevant role
* Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
* Knowledge of modern networking technologies and security practices
