School Crossing Supervisor – Casual – Tullamore Local Government Area
Transport for NSW is seeking a dedicated School Crossing Supervisor to ensure the safety of children and families during school crossing times in the Tullamore Local Government Area.
Location: Parkes, NSW 2870
Employment Type: Casual
Pay: $33.83 per hour plus superannuation
Hours: Shifts may fall between school zone hours 8:00‐9:30 AM and 2:30‐4:00 PM. Minimum shift duration is one hour. Work Monday‐Friday during the school term.
Responsibilities
* Act as a Road Safety Hero, safeguarding the community's children, parents, teachers and local motorists.
* Provide on‐site relief at school crossing locations across the Tullamore LG area.
* Ensure all crossing activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
* Maintain a visible and approachable presence in the community.
* Communicate effectively with school staff, students, and driving public.
* Remain alert to potential dangers and respond promptly.
* Wear and maintain provided uniforms and equipment.
Qualifications
* Must be at least 18 years old.
* Reliable and ready to work in all weather conditions.
* Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, reference checks, Police Check, and health assessment; assistance will be provided if needed.
* Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
