Job Title: HR Generalist
We are seeking a skilled HR Generalist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance on human resources policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Provide timely HR guidance across policies, procedures, Fair Work obligations, Awards, and employment legislation
* Lead recruitment and talent acquisition activities, including job ads, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding
* Support employee lifecycle initiatives, including workforce planning, organisational development, and remuneration reviews
* Conduct remuneration benchmarking and support pay structures, benefits, and award compliance
* Assist with payroll queries relating to conditions of employment, allowances, and compliance
* Prepare HR reporting and maintain currency on policies, procedures, and legislative changes
* Support employee relations matters ensuring fair, respectful, and legally compliant outcomes
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
* Minimum 4 years' HR experience, preferably in civil, construction, or mining industries
* Strong understanding of Fair Work Act, NES, Modern Awards, and employment compliance requirements
* Confident in award interpretation and advising on rostering, site penalties, and allowances
* Strong communication skills and ability to build trust across all levels
* Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
* Solutions-focused with a commitment to high-quality HR service delivery
* Minimum two years' industry-specific experience in Australia
